Grammar: Prepositions and prepositional phrases, the partitive, asking questions and making sentences into questions, hacer/estar/hay + weather conditions, paradigm of the verb IR (present tense).
Examination practice preparation for the Languages Festival
Year 8 Spanish
Holidays & Tourism: Topic Work: Talking about the interesting points about a place, saying where you normally go on holiday and where you went in the past, what you did, weather conditions.
Grammar: se puede + infinitive, present tense (revised), preterite (past) tense, recap of modal verbs.

Interviews: Topic Work: Familiarisation with question words and question types. Focus on different ways of formulating questions and how to answer a question to maximise marks (examination technique) and including conversational phrases in your work β starting, explaining, describing...
Grammar: Interrogatives, expressing opinions, negatives which incur the subjunctive

Year 10 Spanish
House and Home: Topic Work: Describing dwellings, geographical locations, advantages and disadvantages of where you live using key adjectives & residential vocabulary, parts of a house, room, own room in detail, furniture in different rooms, location of furniture.
Grammar: Prepositions, comparative and superlative (revised), adjectives and agreements, imperfect (revisited), desde hace + time, llevo + time, qualifiers (revisited), possessives (esp. using βdeβ), lo + adjective, tanto/a(s) + noun, tan + adjective.
In Town: Topic Work: Places in town including shops, asking for and giving location using prepositions and the partitive, asking for and giving directions, describing your area using key adjectives, positive and negative aspects of your area.
Grammar: Prepositions, partitive, possessive adjectives (full paradigm), ordinal numbers, lo + adjective (revisited), demonstrative adjectives, direct & indirect object pronouns (light revision).
